How does registration location validation work?

You can join with email/password or Continue with Google. Registration supports India, Nepal, US, and Other country. For supported countries we try postal lookup, and if no data is found you can still enter city/state manually. After successful signup you land on a personalised welcome page — if email confirmation is enabled you will see instructions to verify your inbox first. Locality completion is required before full app access.

What anti-bot check is used on registration?

Registration uses two layers of bot protection: a hidden honeypot field (invisible to real users) and Cloudflare Turnstile challenge verification. The honeypot blocks simple automated submissions; Turnstile verifies you are human without a CAPTCHA puzzle. If either check fails, the form shows an error and asks for a retry.

How can I contact a seller for an item?

On each Marketplace listing, contact sellers using Direct Message only. Share personal contact details in chat only when you are comfortable. If you own the listing, you can edit, mark sold, or delete it. Once you mark an item as sold, it moves to your My Sales tab where you can view it for 30 days and re-list it with one click. To save a listing you are interested in, tap the heart icon ♥︎ on any listing (only visible on other people's items) — it will appear under My Favorites for easy reference later.

Marketplace has 11 categories: Housing, Furniture, Electronics, Vehicles, Fashion, Books, Kitchen, Kids, Sports, Garden, and Other. Use the category filter bar at the top of the Marketplace page to browse by category. You also have two personal tabs: My Sales (items you have sold, kept for 30 days with a Re-list option) and My Favorites (items you have hearted to save as a wishlist).

Is PadosME responsible for Marketplace transactions?

No. PadosME is a platform for connecting neighbours — we do not facilitate payments or guarantee transactions between users. Always meet buyers and sellers in safe, public places, and verify items before completing a purchase. Never transfer money in advance to someone you have not met. If you encounter suspicious behaviour, use the Report button on the listing.

How do notifications get marked as read?

Opening the notification dropdown marks current items as read. You can click each item to jump directly to the related post or message thread.

Why are some older direct messages missing?

For privacy and inbox clarity, older direct messages are archived from the active inbox after the retention period. Keep important details in your own notes if needed.

How do I reset my password if I forgot it?

Click the link in the email to open a secure page where you can set a new password. The reset link expires after a short time — if it has expired, simply request a new one from the login page.

Where can I read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service?

You can read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service from the links in the footer at the bottom of every page. They cover how we handle your data, community guidelines, and your rights as a PadosME user.

Why are old posts, news, events, and marketplace listings missing?

PadosME automatically removes older content to keep your neighbourhood feed focused and fast. Posts and news are kept for 90 days. Past events are removed 30 days after the event date. Sold marketplace listings are removed after 30 days; unsold listings expire after 6 months. Direct messages are retained for 90 days. Notifications last 30 days. This keeps the app relevant without accumulating content that no longer matters to you.

What does a Community Warning notification mean?

If a PadosME moderator reviews your content and finds it in violation of our Community Guidelines, you will receive a Community Warning in your notification bell. The warning shows the full reason and links directly to the flagged content so you know exactly what was reviewed. Please review that content and ensure all future posts comply with our community standards. Repeated violations may result in content removal or further action on your account.

Why is my account suspended or banned?

Account suspension happens when a moderator determines that an account has repeatedly or seriously violated our Community Guidelines. A suspended account cannot log in — you will see a suspension page instead. If you believe this is an error or want to appeal, please contact our support team at support@padosme.com with your registered email address and a brief explanation. We aim to respond within 2 business days.
